Please read these terms before using the site or buying a plan. Using BestGolfHacks means you accept them.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to BestGolfHacks.com and every service we offer on it. The site is operated by the UK registered company named at the bottom of this page ("we", "us"). If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the site.
2. Our tools and guides are planning aids, not professional advice
Safety first. Swinging a golf club indoors can injure people and damage ceilings, lights, walls, windows and equipment. Always test your swing slowly in the actual room before you buy or hit balls, keep other people well clear, and use proper hitting screens, netting and padding.
Our calculators, diagrams, build plans and guides give estimates based on the numbers you enter and on published manufacturer specifications. Swings, rooms and products vary, so:
- check every measurement yourself and confirm product specifications with the manufacturer or retailer before buying;
- use a qualified professional for any structural, electrical or mounting work, such as ceiling projector mounts or wiring;
- treat a result that says a space "fits" as a starting point, not a guarantee.
3. Products, prices and affiliate links
We do not sell golf simulator equipment. When you buy a product through a link on our site, you buy it from that retailer, under the retailer's own terms, warranty and returns policy. Prices and availability change often. We show the date we last checked product data, but the retailer's price at checkout is the one that applies. Some links earn us a commission, as explained in our Affiliate Disclosure.
4. Paid services
Build Plans for home golfers
A build plan is a digital planning document prepared for your space from the information you give us. We aim to deliver standard plans by email within 48 business hours of receiving your payment and complete room details. If your plan includes a video consultation, we will send a link to book it. Please make sure the measurements and photos you send are accurate, because the plan is based on them. At checkout you ask us to start work immediately and acknowledge that, once work begins, the statutory 14 day cancellation right for digital content and services no longer applies. Our Refund Policy still applies.
Care Plans for golf businesses
Care Plans (Starter, Growth and Enterprise Venue) are monthly services for golf venues and simulator businesses. They are billed in advance each month and renew automatically until you cancel, as set out in our Refund Policy. The work included in each plan is described on the For Golf Businesses page and confirmed with you by email before we start.
Prices are shown in US dollars. Refunds and cancellations are covered by our Refund Policy.
5. Your use of the site
You may use the site for your own personal planning or for your own business. You agree not to:
- copy, republish or resell our guides, tools, diagrams or data without written permission (sharing a link is always welcome);
- scrape the site in bulk or use automated tools that put an unreasonable load on it;
- try to break, hack or disrupt the site or its security;
- use the site for anything unlawful.
6. Intellectual property
The content, design, code, calculators and data on this site belong to us or our licensors. Build plans we deliver to you are for your own use. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify those products.
7. Links to other websites
We link to retailers, manufacturers and other useful sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we may change, pause or remove any tool, guide or service at any time. We may update these terms, and the date at the top will show when. The version on this page when you use the site or place an order is the one that applies.
9. Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that:
- the free tools and guides are provided "as is", and we are not liable for losses caused by relying on them, including damage to property or equipment bought on the basis of an estimate;
- we are not responsible for products bought from third party retailers;
- for business customers, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts will deal with any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any mandatory protections the law of your country gives you, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
